Solacoat CP (Porous) Primer
Solacoat CP (Porous) Primer, to be used under Solacoat Top Coat, is a water-based sealer primer designed for exterior and interior porous surfaces.
The ceramic alloy component aids in the filling of uneven surfaces and optimizes for maximum heat reflectivity for temperature abatement.
Features
- Can be recoated after 2 hours under good drying conditions.
- Do not apply when the substrate temperature is below 15°C or when humidity is excessive.
- Spreading rate is approximately 8 – 14 square metres per litre depending on application (brush, roller or spray), and the roughness of the substrate.
- Rough surfaces will have a spreading rate of around 8 -10 square metres per litre and smooth surfaces will be around 8 – 14 square metres per litre.
Tiled Roofs – Either Concrete or Terracotta
Apply one coat of Solacoat CP Primer by spray, brush or roller at a spreading rate of 8 – 14 square metres per litre on smooth surfaces
On degraded surfaces approximately 8 – 10 square metres per litre.
Rough, degraded surfaces will require back brushing or rolling of the wet spray applied primer to ensure penetration in all holes, crevices etc.
Allow a minimum of 2 hours for the primer to dry before application of the first coat of Solacoat Topcoat.
The second coat of Solacoat Topcoat can be applied after 2 hours drying period.
Approximate Coverage
Covers approximately 8 – 10 square metres per litre on rough surfaces
Covers approximately 8 – 14 square metres per litre on smooth surfaces.
Tiled Roofs – Either Concrete or Terracotta
Approximate drying times at 25°C and 50% Relative Humidity.
Touch dry: 30 minutes
Drying Times may be extended by adverse drying conditions or by incorrectly applying a very high film build.
