What is Solacoat?
Solacoat is a specially created waterborne acrylic based emulsion that complies with NATA and APAS standards. It is non-hazardous and has a unique membrane additive that rejects heat from permeating your residential or commercial buildings, protecting your properties and assets for optimal energy efficiency, cost-saving solutions. It attributes in building an eco-friendly environment.
Solacoat is the most efficient and cost effective form of heat insulation! The hotter it gets, the better it works!
Benefits of Solacoat:
- Radiates up to 80% of the infrared (heat) rays back into the sky
- Cost effective - requires 50 micron thickness applied to any material
- Internal temperature drops by up to 15°C
- Diminishes green house gas emissions
- Inhibits rust, corrosion and thermal expansion, ensuring durability
- Protects properties & assets (heat sensitive)
- Provides better energy efficiency and reduces air conditioning costs by up to 50%
- Non Toxic Environmentally safe and friendly
- Ensures conducive & liveable environments
- Extremely easy to apply
- 10 year performance guarantee
- Australian owned and manufactured in NATA and APAS approved facilities

Commercially available thermal insulation materials (eg Fibreglass or Rockwool Batts) are rated in their effectiveness by their 'R Factor'. Such materials have a thermal resistance, which reduces the flow of heat through the elements of the building envelope. The better the insulation, the more the heat flow is reduced, and the higher the 'R Factor'.
Independent research has designated the factors of increase of roof 'R' value through Solacoat Reflective paint are '2.2 for air-conditioned buildings & 3.5 for passive buildings' respectively. The R Factor of 2.2 is a mandatory requirement for new dwellings in northern regions by the Building Control Board of Australia.
